I had been given some mountain ash logs (2) both about a metre long and 270mm diam, about three weeks ago. Cut down some of the first log to see what the condition is like. As the photo shows there is some rot in the middle of the log. Not to concerned as I will making and gluing blocks to make up the bowl.
