As an example the Axi ATDP20F pillar drill was £909 a few months ago, then progressively dropped to £650 and is now £750. What are the odds of a Black Friday £100 off deal?
I realise that exchange rates, shipping costs etc, constantly change but believe that these massive, rapid price changes are essentially marketing driven; to such an extent that I don't buy from Axi nowadays unless they are the only vendor of a particular product, and even then I'll usually wait for a so-called reduction in price.
Here's another possible "massive" price drop in the making: http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-3- ... ght-501280, currently £55.
Or why not buy the same light here: https://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Product. ... &gclsrc=ds, about £24 inc delivery.
Caveat emptor!

I had a quick look to see if I could find one of the internet history sites (like archive.org) that had rutlands on their books but couldn't see any - it is a bit of a minefield isn't it, I run a web site for a haberdashery company in Indonesia where prices are like yoyos, it automatically scans the relevant pages of competitor sites and records the changes and alerts us - might be a business idea for over here but probably already done a million timesMikeJhn":1a8bzff4 said:Interesting these are http://www.rutlands.co.uk/sp+sash-clamp ...
