Firstly, I ought to state that I am wholly opposed to this creeping Americanisation of the UK. That said, if we do have to suffer it, then why the hell are the things I'd like to buy never part of the promotion? One of the reviews of the particular item I'm longing for stated "spoke to the deal, got a good deal on it!" I 'spoke' to same dealer regarding self-same item- not even a penny off! Can't be my face on this occasion, hard to see that in an email!

It's a complete load of tosh Black Friday, best ignored.

They put the prices up pre-BF then lower them same amount to entice a spending frenzy. You get just as good if not better deals throughout the year.

A very useful site for monitoring amazon prices, one I use a lot is http://www.camelcamelcamel.com

You can see how an item's price has fluctuated, if you sign up with them you can add your entire amazon wishlist and they send you email alerts when your chosen item drops to a certain price, really useful.

it only makes sense in the USA because it's the day after thanksgiving, the entire thing makes no sense anywhere else.

I agree, - it's a complete load of unwashed testicles (until I saved a shed load of cash on the Kapex I just bought!). :D :D :D

I heard a chap on LBC today claim that 87% of Black Friday deals are cheaper or the same price throughout the year!

Ohh, what's/where's your Kapex deal?!

I want one, can't justify it, don't need it but want one!
