Just looking to purchase my first thickneser but one thing I am trying to find out is blade replacement costs, I am looking at the Dewalt DEW733 or the Metabo DH330.

I am very tempted by the Metabo and am struggling to find a reason to justify the Dewalt being £133 difference, hence why I ask about blade change costs.

I just want something that's decent quality and will last if looked after.

Btw on eBay FFX are offering 15% off both machines.

Cheers

Only part of the story, it is not just cost but ease of fitting and if you search these forums you will see the issues I had with a Record PT107 so also look into how they are replaced and aligned. For me disposable blades are the way I have gone but at the expense of carriers.

I also went the disposable blade route.
Never looked back. Whilst the price may cause a quick intake of breath,
the time saving & consistency of sharpeness, made it a no contest.

Edit to add that the disposables seem to retain their sharpness for much
longer.
