Hi folks,

Apologies to anyone who has seen this, it was unashamedly nicked from another forum, I just think this is the most powerful road safety video I've ever seen (ok, an edit of road safety vids from around the world), certainly brings it home better than "Oh dear, I've got the wrong topping on my piiiizza..."

<embarrassed>Holds up hand here, screen is definitely looking a bit blurred for some reason - ruddy computers...</embarrassed>

Something like this has to remind people that commanding 2 tons of steel capable of 100mph+ is a privilege, not a right.

Some powerful stuff there and it goes to show how fine that line between life and death is.
Mark.

That's probably one of the best road safety videos I have seen.
When I was a trainee fireman years and years ago we were shown a film called "Mechanised Death" which I thought was pretty powerful because of the images it showed. This was not so graphic but it certainly puts the message across in a similar way.
Very good.

The majority of them are 'Norn Iron' Road Service ads from the last few years. They are incredibly realistic on telly with good resolution. Believe me, the first time you see them there, the reaction is visceral.

If they stop just one statistic being realised, they're worth it.
