A friend gave me a very nice solid walnut sideboard and some oak cabinet doors, so mostly out of guilt I agreed to use the doors to make a toy box for his (yet to be ) first born.
I didn’t have much timber to work with, so the lid is far thinner than I would have liked. But as this is my first ever board glue up and first attempt at breadboard ends, I’m pretty delighted by how it’s turned out. It’s pretty flat and I can see evidence that the breadboards are doing their job of keeping it flat.
The box itself is a quick and dirty mdf faker shaker job with whatever paint I had to hand. I expect it’ll get knocked about and repainted.
