Hi scrollers,
I was bought the Axminster WWFS16 about 4 years ago, and I have to say I just cannot get on with it. I have been told the saw is an adequate model and any problems are likely to be as a result of blade type or tension. HowevercI just find I cannot accurately follow a line, even in thin ply - the blade just bends and twists instead of cutting in the new direction.

So, does anyone else have this model, and if so, how do you get on with it? Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong?

Are you using pinless blades? if not then try some Pegas or similar blades which are high quality, also try tensioning the blade so it gives a high Ping sound and the blade won't bend much if you press on the side of it. Don't bother with the round blades which are pretty useless for 99% of things ... I use sizes like Pegas number 3 or 5 skip tooth. Also make sure you aren't putting too much pressure on the blade as you cut, if its tensioned correctly you should easily cut thin plywood and keep to the lines.
Hope this helps a little and some of the other guys will be along later with more info.
Cheers
Brian
