Having had a recent enquiry about the fitting of the Carter Stabilizer onto the Record BS400, which I did at the end of 2014, and can be seen by searching the following 'BANDSAW BS400 ADDITION Part 1' from 06 Dec 2014. ( bandsaw-bs400-addition-part-1-t85377.html )
The first cut was to enable the stabilizer to fit, but after using the unit, I found that the visual access was not very good at all and removing a further amount of the blade guide gave a far better view and made life far easier.
This was after the first cut, with the blade guide cut to allow the stabilizer to fit but still too long at the front...
This is the final part removed
