Bandsaw Blade suppliers

I've been searching the forum for recommendations for BS blades for my Startrite 18-S-1. It uses 114" blades

The last thing I could find about Dure-Edge was that they had stopped dealing in blades. Any update on this??

Hamilton Edge and Dakin Flathers were mentioned as were New Forest B/S Co as possible suppliers.

Where does the team go for blades in 2007?

I use Dragon Saws Bob, no web site, call 01443 819910, very knowledgeable and helpful and good quality blades at reasonable prices.

Have also used Hamilton in the past and Trucut but stick to Dragon these days.

I would endorse that shout - Dragon is a top choice.

Good blades, very reasonable cost with a discount for puchases of > 5 blades (I think) and very nice folk to deal with.

I have just ordered some blades for my Startrite 18-S-5 from Ernest Bennett.

I tried to post a url but kept getting a "refer to moderator message even when I followed the syntax" so it is three double u's dot ernestbennett dot co dot uk

Don't worry about the URL posting. once you have made a few posts the forum moderators allow url posting. We have had a few sad types joining simply to post inappropriate URLs with no woodworking content.

I've just ordered blades from Dragon which should arrive on Monday but I'll certainly keep your reference in mind for another time if needed.

I'm in Hampshire too - whereabouts are you based? Maybe we should start a Hampshire Startrite owners club!javascript:emoticon(':lol:')
