Band saw drive belt

I have a record power rpbs 12 and the drive belt has snapped i emailed record about a replacement and i was quoted £8.50 + vat plus £4.95 delivery which works out about £15, this seems a lot to me. Does this seem about right or is there somewhere that will supply cheaper, ive done a couple of searches but i cant turn anything up

Give these people a try: http://www.leics-bearings.co.uk/index.htm They are local to me so I never had to use their mail service but they are certainly competetive on belts and bearings.

Could be worth trying BSL Brammer as well - just done a quick search on Yell and there's one in Sunderland - here's the details:

Try your Yellow Pages, just about any engineering supplier will stock belts of all sorts and sizes.
That price is ridiculous!

try your local auto(car) spares shop. take the old belt and see if they have anything that will fit !

Went to the local motorist discount shop exact size £3.69 quite a big difference
