After we moved up here, I bought a biggish dropside trailer, very cheaply. Used it to collect a load of firewood in the village, and got halfway home when the suspension collapsed. Embarrassing, and had to call out daughter and son-in-law to help unload the wood on to my second trailer, and then heave the bigger one on to the smaller one to take home. Had some spare secondhand suspension units and fitted these. Over the last weeks, have been collecting more firewood, muck and, today, a light load of bark chippings. But enough to complete the incipient fatigue fracture on the replacement suspension, so it was a good job daughter etc. arrived home from holiday today
