Axminster,

I know it has been mentioned here before, but from all my suppliers that I use, Axminster is, and has always proven to be the most reliable vendor.
Most of my supplies have always been delivered next day and complete, in the many years I have been using them I only had one occasion of a back-order.

There after sales is brilliant, I had two or three items failing on me and without a hesitation they send out new or replacement parts

So this is a general thumbs up for the people at Axminster =D>

No relation with them, other than being a very happy customer

+1...I've dealt with them for years now and have never had the slightest bother. The packaging dept seems to have moved to packing everything in boxes now, even small stuff that used to be packed in a Jiffy bag. Downside is that I often have to go to the PO to collect it, whereas before a padded envelope used to drop on the mat. The upside is...stomping on the 'Bigger Bubble' (hammer) \:D/ - Rob

And it's quite amusing watching a child trying to do that - it can take several attempts to break the bubble! :)

Soo true my 2yo son loves it, I have to help him though he doesn't have the weight/balance to do it himself.

Perzactly Pete! Stopping on the 'Bigger Bubble' is far to dangerous a task for minors (lack of weight, shoe size too small, risk of falling over etc) so it's an activity that should only ever be done by the recipient of the package and preferably well out of SWIMBO's well tuned hearing range  I stomp on my bubble in the 'shop with the door closed...sounds like pistol shots  - Rob

I think the idea is that sometimes a finger taps a blade whether you intended to or not...

I'm surprised nobody has started importing Sawstop into Britain, I wonder if it fails to meet EU or HSE regs in some way?

^ yup - that is the nail on the head - there is currently no CE on it

Importing has been considered by several people/companies over the years.

I know what some will be forced to say but I wonder what is the repair cost/time if theSawstop is triggered.

I wonder how tolerant it is of moisture levels.

other problem is, that some people might rely on it to much , i can see that some newer people , who are told when learning , that it will not hurt if they catch their finger in the saw by accident,, might make some clumsy instead of keeping their diggits away from the blade at a safe distance ..
on the other side it would save your fingers if you do catch the blade by accident ..
