Just bought a 2nd hand Wall mounted Axminster WV 2000 extractor and have no info on it whatsoever, and no collection bag. I expect Axminster will still be able to sell me those? or is there a better place to buy? Has a big glass plate on the front which I found a bit odd, why would you want to see the dust being sucked in? but I don't know how powerful it is etc? Has 2 inlets at 4" and 3 separate paper bag filters Have searched here and google but no luck.

Any info much appreciated.
Thanks

I don't have one of these, but I do have the ADE 2200 and the 2200 relates to cfm, so I would guess that yours is 2000cfm.

Hope that helps in some small way :D

What other info are you after? Specs or usage/assembly instructions?

Cheers

Mark

Thanks for the reply Mark, dont know anything about spec or how much it originally cost, so no idea how good it is. It's almost like new but has no dust collection bags so dont know what size to buy. Hope Axminster will know from the model number. Has a big cage where the bag fits, I assume this is to stop the bag sucking back up? Have not seen one like this anywhere :?

Hi mate.

I made a **** in my last message, the 2200 is cubic metres p/hour not feet, for mine at least.

Yep, the cage is to stop the bag getting sucked up I think, and I'm fairly sure the bags are standard size for most of these type of extractors. Is it like one of these? If so just buy some of these bages :D

No I don't think it's that one if its got a window it's about three models up. Very expensive and desirable. A lot of bluk on the top but that's because it has a a larger noise reducing hood. Oddly its not listed in their web site at the moment but I'd love one.

Should have maybe done this 1st post, Doh! This is it upside down, and the hoses are just there for the moment, if I turn the picture it looks wierd.....
Behind the glass the bag is a filter made of what looks like sack cloth and the part with the writing comes out with 2 things ( maybe motors?) covered with paper bags and the mains cable and switches are on this too!

I have the WV1000 version it's the one without the top part or the window. It works fantastic but I did find that the wall bracket that came with it was not man enough and had to get a wall bracket fabricated. I think when I looked at get one a few years ago I did look at that one but bought the cheaper version, although I think the one you have used to have a floor stand as it was heavy to be put on the wall.

Cheers

It is a wall mount job, but I forgot to get the mount when picking it up, will be getting it later along with some other bits I missed in my bulk purchase. Just bought a Domino today too, Glad my ebay sales are working, anyone looking for a cheap Technics Hifi System  ?

Axminster emailed a copy of the manual after pestering them, the guy thought I wanted to buy a new one and only wanted to "get involved" if I would buy the last one they had. After sales service beware! Can still get the floor stand adaptor at £175  so suspect the unit must have cost a few bob when new! Paper Filter Bags still available and Collection ones too so hope when I switch it on it sucks, but because the manual was folded in half, the pages cant be read properly.

I still have a copy of the spring 2008 Axminster catalogue which lists the WV2000 Dust extractor.
Costs including Vat are:

240Volt extractor £619.95
Mobile stand barrow £146.18
Paper vortex Filter £10.61
Paper Filters Pkt 6 £4.36
Cloth Motor Filter £9.17

Axminster performance rating 4 Fine dust extractor with Acoustic Hood.
triple filtration filtering out down to 0.5 microns

Spec is;
2000W
Airflow 390m3/hr
Hose Dia 100mm
Bag Capacity 200litres or 260litres
Length 560mm X Width 580mm X Height 1210mm

All this is from the 2008 catalogue.

Thanks
