Axminster Planes

Anyone got any experience or heard anything about the line of Axminster Planes they have?

They seem remarkably cheap at the moment, even compared to the normal run of the mill stuff!

No idea, but the block I got from them was a Groz, so presumably there's a likelihood the rest are too? I think I'd sooner get an old one and do it up; it'd probably be the same amount of tuning required but on a better quality starting point. But I may be very wrong and it is in fact the bargain of the century rather than an inefficient paperweight... :?

Think I'll leave them alone for a while - or at least until I get to play with one for free!

Some of thos older model prices on the links from your site are just excellent, so I'll concentrate on them first.
