I have one of these drum sanders from Axminster that I got a few years ago. It definitely now needs the paper changed only thing is I can't work out how to. Has anyone got one and could help?

Hello,

The tube you can see on the top acts as a cam, tightening the paper. Use an L shaped piece of metal inserted into the tube and turn it, perhaps 1/4 turn and you'll feel it slacken, then slide the tube upwards and the paper will be loose for removal. Insert new paper, slide in tube and re tension the cam. If you didn't get the L shaped key when you bought the drum, you could make one with some flat metal stock, perhaps 4 mm wide.

A flat screwdriver might work also.

Mike.

I just thought i'd mention using one of the rubbery abrasive cleaners. Maybe you have already got one though.
