AXMINSTER CRAFT AC153E DUST EXTRACTOR Wall mounting

Hi,
Axminster have a discount on AC153E extractor and a would like you guys thoughts on wall mounting this unit…
I would like to turn the motor assembly 180 with the inlet down facing.. because the motor and bag/filter assembly have a flange connection between I should be able to keep the bag/filter in the correct orientation….
is this doable… will it work..
i got onto Axminster tech but they would not advise….

I've got an earlier version of this from Axminster (or looks suspiciously like it but the unit is encased in plastic) where the motor is configured as you say and it works just fine. I can't really see why it wouldn't since it's only job is to impel air.. I can't see it being fussy about orientation??

Go for it, I have a Jet DC1100 which didn’t fit my space as it was. I rotated the motor unit 90 degrees, wall mounted it, then mounted the bad and filter to an adjacent wall. Connected up with 6” pipe to rejoin everything together and it works fine and has been for two years.

this is how it looked

stripped it all apart, rotated and reorientated the motor unit and wall hung it. This enabled a cyclone unit to be added.

then mounted the filter and bag (cut down bag as it really never gets anything in it. If sawdust does drop into bag I knoW it’s time to empty the drop box. The plastic bottle was only there whilst I tested the first fun, the bottle plugged outlet is now routed to the other side of the workshop. Now all static tools are plumbed into the D/E system and there is a 5m pipe to use as a floor vacuum or Mobile tools as well.
