small benchtop 'jointers' are scarce. Thisone from Axminster is the best I could find when I was looking at going this route. 6 Inch just seemed too small to be usable

Multico did that kind of thicknessing fixture, Chris - but they were pretty scary to use.

I had one of those thicknessing jigs once. I'm not that fond of anything that incorporates a hand power planer. Noisy, dusty, scary things I've always thought, best left for cleaning up painted or abrasive surfaces.

All the big Axminster and Jet jointers are 6 inch. Only the combination machines seem to be bigger.

Bringing this one back to life as I've noticed a large number of axminster products on the bay coming from leamington spa. Has anybody been to this place yet?
