Lots of you have mentioned these.

I never get one  even though I'm registered & buy frequently.

Any idea why???

I didn't either, and I'm on all their email lists.

In the end, I rang up and complained and they were more than happy to take the 10% off over the phone...

Interestingly despite someone (can't remember who sorry) saying they had had an email saying that the 10% offer excluded Festool I went ahead and ordered a Festool item and at the 'checkout' online the 10% was deducted anyway - so maybe worth persevering

I normally miss out on these 10% emails but got one this time. I also put a domino in my basket and the 10% was taken off. Didn't I read somewhere that retailers are 'allowed' to offer 10% off their products.

I didn't but the domino, I was just curious :D

Wow

Axminster truly are top of the class for customer service!

I've had a PM from Richard@axminster apologising for me not getting a voucher plus a remedy.

It's probably worth (next time!) adding some items to your basket and then having a look at the Chekout screen, if you haven't received the e-mail and everyone else has... Chances are, I suppose, there may still be an option to apply to the 10% discount. The important thing seems to be that you are signed up to receive their e-mails before the first day of the offer.

This happened to me last year. didn't get the 10% discount. however, when i placed the order and went through to the checkout screen,
low and behold, there was the 10% discount...... It turned out that the email had gone through to my junk email folder. Who knows why.
Ever since I moved it back to my inbox, I have always received the offers.

I did an order online today and even though I am registered and spend quite a bit with them, there was no mention of a discount

John - I think the offer ended on 4 Jan. Sorry.

Cheers

I never got the email myself but having read about the 10% offer here I went ahead and placed an order for the Jet AFS-500 on Sunday but also sent a follow up email wondering why I never got the offer at the same time. On Monday I'm happy to say I received an email to say the discount had been applied. Axminster really are a great company to deal with IMHO.

I have been a fan of Axminster for 10 years. several years ago they let me down on a spindle block and cutter I had ordered. I rang up and complained. Mr Styles, himself jumped in his car and drove the 300 mile round trip to deliver the block and cutter. That is service and ever since they have had my business.

However, I rang them last week to say I was going to buy a router that a competitor was selling 60 quid cheaper than them and asked if they would split the difference which was the equivalent of the 10% discount (I dropped out of the email club a year or so ago when I was abroad and being charged per byte for data) They refused saying if you are not in the club you don't get the discount.I was disappointed that they would not negotiate. The only thing they said was it would be free delivery!

I thought long and hard before placing the order elsewhere. I spent the 60 quid on a Norton Waterstone!

I am still a fan of Axminster and they still get most of my trade even if things are slightly more expensive, but 20% on 300 quid is serious money in this climate.
