Anybody else receive a voucher for 10% off their next Axminster order? (subject to £1,000 limit).

I noticed that my terms exclude Festool products. It is always the same. There just must be some price fixing arrangement on festool, a sore subject I know.

Still 10% is a fair discount, I wonder what I can force myself to buy?

Cheers, Tony.

Oddly, I never get those 10% offers. I am on their email and mailing list. Maybe they know i'll spend it anyway. :D

Yeah, I got one!

And used it........

They do it to tempt those who haven't been spending regularly. Naughty.....but nice
Cheers
Philly :D

It's 10% off the most expensive item, wizer (excluding all the stuff mentioned earlier in the thread, of course).

bah, hardly worth it then. I need a few little bits, but no machinery ;)

Do we know when this offer is due to expire? I'm gutted that I've not received anything from them either (depsite spending a small fortune with them over the years).

I have some machinery to purchase, I suppose I could wrangle the discount over the phone..

Have had one or two in the past but not this time!

Have not bought from them for a while too - perhaps they get the names out of a hat?

Also Machine Mart ran one recently and I did not get one then too!

I think that would be a 'secondary market', Roger, unless you think the value of 10% might fluctuate?

Axminster never send me anything, not even their catalogue, despite having spent a lot with them over the years, so I've reciprocated by pretty much stopping using them unless there is no choice.

I'll speak to them tomorrow as I need to order a lathe - haven't had one yet.

....

No I don't but as I've got one and have no plans to use it for any major purchase, I could 'waste' it and get £1 discount off something small or I could negotiate with someone who has a bigger purchase and so that's a win-win situation. See ..I've been listening to those 'finger-on-the-financial-pulse' guys over at the FSA.

I spoke too soon - an Axminster one turned up yesterday!

Don't really need anything ...........or do I????

Rod

I spoke with them today and they said the offer is going out to anyone who has ordered in the last 12 months and has spent over £30 - I've spent far more than that and they couldn't understand why an offer hadn't been sent out - but they'll honour it with my next order this week - a lathe.
