Automatic switching on of extraction

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a device that will sense when I power up a saw and will then automaticly power up a dust extraction vacume.

I'm not sure what a device like is called and therefore can't search for it on the web.

Any thoughts would be most welcome.

Master slave switches are what you need.

I use one such thing when using my lunchbox thicknesser. It goes in to the master socket and the big-sucky-tub into a slave socket.

It's worth checking what they're rated for power wise as cheaper ones will only handle smaller loads (they're typically marketed for folk wanting assorted entertainment gizmos to power down when the telly is switched off). I think my one is made by APC, has a shortish heavy cable and rated to handle my tools.
