My daughter Megs is doing a gap year now and works for Wessex Archaelogy (spell checker, spell chekker...) and has hankered after something knapped for ages. One of the guys that she works with knapped her a flint arrowhead which she wears as pendant and as I understand it, its a tricky old business to knapp flint decently. Phil Harding, of Time Team fame also works for the same outfit and is reputed to be an expert an knapping flint tools - Rob

Megs loves her arrowhead pendant, it just lies flat against her neck so there's no sharp bits touching (and the edges are sharp :shock: and no honing guide involved 8) ) but in any case SWIMBO has just passed as a St John's fist aider so with a bit o'luck we won't be needing her new found skills - Rob
