Hiya, I enjoy working with wood has a hobby and enjoy working on a lathe, making tables and especially dolls houses. I have decided to treat me to some new tools and I was thinking of purchasing these from axminster.
Axminster AWEFSBB Bandsaw
Jet JBOS 5 Oscillating Spindle Sander
Axminster AW10BSB2 Sliding Table Saw Bench

I would like to know if they are worth purchasing or if there are any other makes and models that are better or cheaper to consider. I would appreciate any advice and if so do any of you know anywhere else to purchase similar tools from.

Cheers Neil

Hi Neil
I have the Oscillating sander and it is very good. A bit rackety, but I think that is the natur of the beast, mechanically. I'm very pleased with it. That price looks a bit on the high side to me, I'm sure there are other clones, but I'm afraid I can't rmember what.

And welcome to the forum!
Cheers
Steve

Hi Neil

I have the table saw and reviewed it on here a short while back - the search will turn this up

Basically, it is built better than the SIP and I am over the moon with it (This is my 4th Tablsaw in 15 years)

For the oscillating spindle sander and Bandsaw, they are pretty much all chinese clones in this price range and i got mine from Charnwood and have no complaints
