I've never seen one before now, and my first thought was... what's wrong with a Van Safe in the back of a Transit?

That thing's going to be a sod to get in and out of a van empty, never mind when it's full of tools.

Hey, if it's no good there's always an alternative use - paint it white, stick a parasol to the handle and use it to sell icecreams by the seaside!

:?: It's a workbench/table, what were you looking at?

I can't really see the advantages of that worktable over a board on trestles?
The Festool table is marginally longer and has lots of little holes which although make it look like a piece of swiss cheese do provide a useful means of using clamps and dogs for work holding.
Also the aluminium channel all around the outside means that accessories such as the guide rail, angle stop and adjustable stop for repetitive cross cuts can be added easily. It also allows clamps to slide in the channel and hold boards vertically against the table.

With a pair of accurate dogs, in the holes, and a tracksaw, the Festool table can be used as an extremely accurate cross-cutting table. Any tracksaw make will do; or if you don't have a track saw a parallel saw guide for a standard circular saw works too.

Here we go again!

That's expensive for what it is. And at 27kgs it weighs more than a full bag of cement. How far are you planning on lugging it? If I needed to be mobile I would find this to be a more attractive option.

Or if you want something simple, I'm still using this one that I knocked up a few years ago and which is still going strong after a huge kitchen build, 2 sets of bifold doors and any number of other projects. All from one sheet of 18mm exterior grade ply.

Am I not seeing what everyone else is seeing?

That is superb, that's going on my list!
