earning a living at woodworking?

I've recently retired from building vivariums, originally from melamine covered chipboard and laterly from polypropylene (dreadful stuff!), and would happily swap some learning experience for a second pair of hands from time to time. I'm 72 but fairly fit.

making pocket money, easy. making a living? bluuddy tough mate.
I thought vivariums were supposed to be see through?

Yup, five of the six faces aren't, but the front has sliding glass doors.

I was talking to joiners and cabinet makers, I guess, anyone who makes stuff in a workshop and then delivers or installs on site. I'm not attracted to carpentry on roofs, prefer to keep my feet on the ground these days.

I know one man in Bristol who is making extremely nice stuff.
Ollie only started woodworking a few years ago but quality is way up there.

Heres the link.

Very nice stuff.

I'd mention in passing though that he's probably nearer to Bath than Bristol, and most of us would consider Tog Hill to be right out in the sticks. It's a pain to get to for me on the West side of town, but much easier if you're out Kingswood way...

We live in St George, Eric, so Warmley-Wick is our normal route out the the M4. Anything to get out of gridlocked Bristol!
