I don’t know if this will be of any use to anyone on here?
Had a wide bandsaw that was beyond repair so cut some of it up with the intention of making some saws – made a couple but this piece has been hanging around the workshop for ages so before it goes to the scrap bin thought that I would see if it’s of any use to anyone?
It currently measures 12” x 4 ¼” and is made from Swedish steel – very good quality, it’s 19 gauge steel which is just over 1mm thick. I have re-cut it to 14ppi and it’s been set and sharpened but that’s as far as I got.
If you want it cut to a courser tooth pitch let me know and I will see what I can do.
From what I can remember the steel was quite hard to drill when drilling the holes for the handles.
