I've just finished this one. It was supposed to be a jewellery box for my eldest daughter, but it's coincided with the arrival of her first baby so I've called it a keepsake/memory box for the little man. It's maple & beech with sycamore burr on the top.

Quadrant hinges look the business don't they. Expensive and lots of painstaking work to install well, but they certainly turn a box into an heirloom!
 
Thank you chaps. It really isn't rocket science. Plenty of practice attempts until you master whichever skill, and taking your time are the secrets if there are any.
