Hi All,

Currently have a multi car policy with Admiral for myself and my other half. Both have fully comp and Class 1 business for either of us on both cars.

Until recently I was working as an IT Consultant (Self Employed, Ltd Company) Company is still active.

Due to circumstances I am currently working as a multi drop driver for a supermarket in a 3.5T Van. Passed the AA fleet driving course and will be doing the ROSPA advanced driving course in the new year.

Should I expect my premium to go up or down when I change my occupation from IT Consultant to Multi Drop Driver?

Cheers,

Jon.

Probably up, but run some dummy quotes on one of the online sites to find out. You should have already told them by now as you're already doing the job. Have a crash in the works van and they may find out before you tell the via cue.

Shouldn't make any difference to your car insurance as long as you don't use car for delveries

Logic says he's doing more miles and therefore a greater risk so premiums will rise.

As Gary said, do some 'dummy quotes' as sadly your occupation can make a world of difference.
