Hi pip
Recently I bought American/European Oak and Walnut at
http://www.britishhardwoods.co.uk/

Similar to your dimensions and larger, mostly planed all round

They let me forage around; very nice folk to deal with
Charged me £1 per Kilo, which I thought a very good deal

Cordy, Have you been in the off cut bin?
I agree very nice people to deal with. I am not sure whether I would like to be nearer, or further away.
Certainly I would be looking to 'call in' whenever I pass, just to see if I can find anything of possible future use you know.

Downside for me is having to drive past
http://boundarymill.co.uk/store/colne/

Ms Cordy insists on a 'Quick look round'  which is a couple of hours at least....

Cordy

Hi Cordy,
I did know about the 'upstairs', am I going to wish I didn't? Seriously I must look into that.

As for your deviations caused by Mrs. Cordy. I have that problem as well, strange how it only works one way isn't it?

Bodgers.

Unless my metric conversion is up the chute, that's a little over one cubic foot. £41.00 isn't bad, considering where it originated. :)

Yep, sounds about right.

Really nice stuff as well, hardly any knots. I'll post some shots later of a board planed up.
