10 gauge?!? What does it fire? Girders?

I did receive a catalogue the other day from a company that had a fairly impressive range of fixings. I'll have a look tonight and see if there's anything that big there.

Hi there Houtslager,

By "10 gauge" i assume you mean Framing nails,
2.8mm thick 50mm-75mm long (10 gauge) or
3.1mm thick 75mm-90mm long (8 gauge)
your gun should fire both.
As for what to order, now there's the rub !!
a few examples......
ring shank or smooth ?
bright or galvanised ?
20 degree, 21 degree,28 degree, 34 degree ?
paper tape collated ?
wire weld ?
plastic collated ?
full round head or clipped head ?
i hope i havn't confused you,
to make things a bit simpler , what make is your nailer and what model is it ?
i use a few online suppliers but would need to know your exact requirements to be able to assist you my friend.
be aware that shipping costs can be expensive due to weight.
look forward to your reply.

Gary sorry I forgot to put the gun details online,
as I already have a few other guns :)
the new one is a " contractor's " framing gun
28deg ,Uses stick-fed nails from 0.113" to 0.131" diameter. There is the problem 28deg stick of nails can get but the diameter /gauge size has me foxed.

no problem Houtslager,
0.113" is imperial thousanths of an inch, 2.8mm is the metric equivalent
0.131",3.1 mm is the metric equivalent
hope this helps

Off his trolley, more like! Part baby, part piranha and is irresistably drawn to anything dangerous.

(Don't know where he gets that from, but my Mum says he's just like me  )
