Hello

any advice on this saw , its a Diamond Scrollsaw AF25 with variable speed and a blower

what sort of money are they worth in good working order and recently returned to the makers for a service :?:

Thanks

Hi Blister,

Variable is the answer. The bay is probably the only place to put it, and you are then at the mercy of the market. I have seen diamonds go for as little as £40 or as high as £200 for no obvious reason. Make a big play of the recent makers service and the quality of the machine and you may be OK. If you want to ensure decent money for it though then either a high start price or a high reserve might save you from having to let it go for less than you feel its worth.

Steve.

You were fortunate if the saw has been serviced recently. The manufacturer passed away a few months ago after illness and the amount of work he carried out in his last year was minimal.

This might make the saw more desirable, especially to those who are Diamond fans, but sadly it's no longer possible to promote the saw's great after-sales service. Generally speaking, I'd expect to see a Diamond in good condition sell on eBay for somewhere in the £125 to £200 range. Purchasers will show more interest if you're prepared to despatch it by courier rather than expecting a buyer to collect.
