Hi,

I have a Bosun 10' Mitre saw that is not cutting true angles, I bought it second hand with no instructions and have no experience with mitre saws. There is no tilt on the blade but when I swing the table round to say 45 degrees it's not cutting 45 degrees.

Please help!

Regards

I'm very suprised there is no tilt / bevel. Are you sure?

Regarding the angles... this is normally adjusted by repositioning the back fence. It's usually bolted through slots / slightly elongated holes. If it's anything like my Axi (read 'pile of junk') you might have to file out the slots even further to get it aligned.

It's worth putting a straight edge along the entire length of the fence as (again like my Axi) the 2 'halves' may well be out of line.

HTH
