I had my first session of acupuncture yesterday morning and
to be honest i was in agony for the rest of the day. My neck and
shoulder muscles were so painful i spent most of the day lying
down in bed. Fast forward to today and.....................MAGIC,
no pain anywhere for the first time in years, i am gobsmacked!
I even went into the workshop and tidied up a bit and i'm still
o.k., usually if i have a fair day with manageable pain i will go
out and try to do some work but suffer like hell for a couple
of day's afterwards. I have another session in two weeks and
another 2 sessions after that at fortnightly intervals. I hope
this is the treatment that finally helps me get back to some
kind of normality. I'm "Buzzing".

Hi,
Can I ask a couple of questions.
It sounds like a great success but what was your problem beforehand and why did you go for acupuncture? Was it as a last resort as it is a slightly rare treatment here. Was it on the NHS?
I'd be interested to know for when my body finally falls apart :)
Cheers
Malcolm

Do you mean in Wiltshire as acupuncture is readily available over most of the UK from my own experience.

I used to go weekly for acupuncture to boost my immune system. Commuting daily from London to Croydon I felt I needed it. Result - not a cold, cough or flu. Nary a sore throat while all around me were dropping like flies.

great to hear you are on the mend

i had acupuncture for a bad back (included needles in my leg and hand) worked a treat for me too

I had a ten week course of Acupuncture for my bad back a couple of years back. It worked for a short time but the pain came back again within a month. So far I have tried Acupuncture and a chiropractor without success. I have been lucky recntly as it hasn't played up for a few months now but there is always a dull pain which I can live with.
