Acorn plane

At this morning's car boot sale there was an Acorn no. 4 on offer. I looked at the cutting edge and could see what looked like a hole in the blade. I then realised that it was the end of the slot in the blade which was part way down the bevel. That is a well used plane.

Ideal for cutting tongues on the edge of 2 inch thick boards. If you'd looked further you'd find a matching one for cutting the groove... :mrgreen:
