Hello,
I enjoy reading this forum for a few weeks now, and I've also done a few postings. But as my knowledge of the English language is a wee bit limited I can't make head or tail of some of the abbreviations that are often used in the postings e.g. FWIW, SWMBO, IMHO, BTW. Could somebody give me some enlightment please.
And what's Ally Pally? Axminster?

FWIW For what its worth

SWMBO She who must be obeyed (i.e. the wife)

IMHO IN my humble opionion

BTW by the way

ROTFLMAO Falling on the floor laughing by *** off

OP original poster

Ally Pally = Alexandra Palace. The location of a woodworking show.

Axminster, is Axminster Power Tools (www.axminster.co.uk) and they have their own woodwork show, known as "axminster" (in fact its not in axminster........

AFAIK As far as I know....

You can look them all up here:

You might say that, but I couldn't possibly comment.

In fact, the Jet jointer is probably my favourite. I love seeing timber cleaned up and with a square edge after it comes off the jointer. I'm really pleased that I took Aragorn's advice and went for the 60A which gives you slightly more width and even longer tables.

Cheers
