Sorry to ask this way, but I've been searching for three hours in vain

Someone on the forum had build a wonderful chair or stool from scraps. It had a sort of a japanese look, a bit hollow seat and massive feet. I remember the seat had some cracks in it and they were neatly filled with strips of wood. There was a very nice WIP picture series from building it

I am planing of building one pretty much like it and I was hoping I could show that to my wife before I start, just to be sure she approves the design :)

Thanks. It seems that I just did not realise it was two years old project and was looking for the newer ones. There must've been a link to that from somewhere else recently.

Well, I got the official approval from my wife and start building one of these days... :-D

Good luck, shout if you want any questions. It did appear in an article in good Woodworking, and had some measurements etc with it. I can organise a copy if that helps at all?

Thanks. I instantly liked the lines of the stool and would very much appreciate if I could get a scan of the article. The pics on the thread were very nice as well.

It's a long story but this will go to a bathroom. I'm currently building the furniture in there (cupboards etc), hand planing the moldings to the walls and the latest folly was to build a pattern for a washbasin as I could not find anything proper on the shops :) I'm going tomorrow to see a potter who could make the basin for me. A design stool on the shower corner will be a purrfikt addition to all of that :)

I'm building the wrong way around, making the decorations first as I don't want to live in the middle of it any longer than necessary. Our kitchen project took 5 months, I guess I might be through this within August

And yes, I'll try to post some WIP pictures when I get properly started.

Pekka
