To stop being bored during this forever lockdown, I'm planning to build this fun little birdhouse. It's kind of mid-century Frank Lloyd Wright inspired and I'd like to use some materials from that style of architecture. I was thinking a mix of ceadar or teak would be nice for the cladding. Then just some painted wood (maybe just treated pine) to add some colour. Do you have any suggestions what kind of materials would stand up to the elements and what kind of treatment I should be looking at? And yes, if you are wondering, that's a solar panel on the roof that will power the deck lights and the swimming pool fountain – naturally!
