Hi:
I have been uploading a few short technique type videos to Youtube that I haven't posted about here. There are four single segment clips so far, and I may have posted about one of them before. The clips are:
Hollowing with a 1/2" spindle gouge (may have been posted before):

Traditional grind bowl gouge cuts (response to a question on the Triangle Tea Light video):

Shear scraping with the side grind bowl gouge:

More cuts with the side grind bowl gouge:

The bowl I was working on in the last video may look a tad familiar to some. It is a bowl blank I purchased in the same place and at the same time as the one I used in my "No Chuck Bowl" video. I would hazard a guess that it was cut from the same board since it was almost identical to that one. There are pictures of that bowl in this thread:

Here are some pictures of the new bowl finished. I tried to reproduce the form of the first one as well as I could from memory:
Mulberry bowl, 6 5/8" diameter, 2 5/8" high.
Look close, Wizer?
Take care
Bob
P.S>: Oh, yeah, there is a series of segments on turning a tool handle that I had not posted here, as well. The playlist is at: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 4614ADFCFA
