We have recently finished a number of projects. One of them was a large slab of claro walnut, 34" x 99" on a steel base fabricated by my older son Sam, a metalworker. We started the desk/table with a small scale model, worked through the fabrication details and delivered it last Monday to the walnut paneled room I posted here a couple of months ago. Also on my dorset custom furniture blog, there are recent posts about the delivery of the cockatoo chairs, a table to go with them and details and process pictures of a banjo I am building with my other son, Will. Check it all out if you have a minute .... dan

Dan,

I have edited your post as 3 of the pictures were not showing, I hope I have selected the correct images.

Nice work, I love the model on the real thing.

thanks a lot for fixing my post Dave ... you got the right images. I don't get it ... they showed fine in the preview AND when I checked the post after I uploaded it ... sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't ... thanks again,

I love the design for the table. My onlt criticism would be that the welds have not been cleaned up at all. The table top has been finished beautifully, but the metal work looks unfinished.
