This is a just a very simple Jarrah and Mahogany dovetailed box (although it does have a stunning piece of Jarrah for the lid).
The box houses a marking set (knife and awl) I made as a Christmas present. I wanted a way of securing the tools while still making them easily accessable.
What makes it novel is the holding mechanism - the front pivots.
The simple construction.
The dovetails were interesting to cut since the sides are only 1/4" thick and the base of each dovetail is but 1/8" wide.
