We have here a SiP 01360 variable speed swivel head lathe

I have added the shelf and wheels to move it about - work well.
The lathe itself is in good used condition and would make an excellent starter lathe for someone - a whole range of turnings can be attempted except the very large diameter ones.
The minimum speed is 500 rpm and I need something that can go much slower for very large work.I did modify the lathe as in the pics to allow connection of a speed controller for single phase motors which reduces the speed but only to about 400 rpm ,which is still not right for me - hence the sale.
The lathe will come with 1MT spur drive,revolving tail stock centre, 6 inch faceplate,knockout bar,standard rest and the speed controller if you wished at a small additional cost for the controller. 8)
The swing over bed is 12 inch and 36 inches between centres.
Headstock is lockable in any position 360 degrees.
Note : the lathe weighs 85 kgs and must be collected (cannot post).
