He can't seriously expect to get £250 for those estwing hammers? They're less than £100 brand new, don't get me wrong, I love estwing hammers and haven't use anything else since discovering while working construction but no way I'd pay £250 for a brand new one let alone off of ebay

Always amazes me how often you see people selling a bashed about second hand thing for much more than it costs new. Presumably someone must be daft enough to buy them otherwise they wouldnt keep doing it. Share you love of Estwings, my dad gave me a lovely leather bound one, have very rarely used it, its just too nice.

I love them, they're just so comfortable in the hand, I have a short one for tight spaces but my go to is over 12inches in length and occasionally gets chosen over a club hammer for some jobs

I got an estwing hammer at a car boot. When the seller said its a £1 I nearly took his arm off in haste to buy it.

I discovered one of the weight forward Estwing hammers in a hardware store I've used for years but it didn't register, till i noticed what the were selling for on ebay. Quick as a flash i shot round and there it was, with its original £29.99 price tag.
Sold it a couple of weeks later for £150 :D

I bought a pair of nearly new knives, 10" and 6" at a car boot. The seller said they good so he wanted a pound for them. Walking away, I saw the etching - hand forged by Sabatier for Elizabeth David Ltd. I bought some (USA made) bi metal hole saws for £25. 36 of them, 16mm to 125mm, only three duplicated and only three were used. Large and small arbors and extention bars.
