Those of you who still remember the 70's may feel they are having a flashback. Not strictly high class work but...

Just finished my loft room. Its been a lot of fun as I got to make some fitted units (bit of a learning curve). It really helps if you rember to square the bottom you mount it on.

The doors have a panel that has wallpaper on it but the photo does not seem to show it. Found out the hard way that not getting the top track parallel with the bottom makes fitting the doors fun.

Fitted some newel post and installed toughened 10mm glass. Allowed for expansion gaps etc. Really enjoyed this.

Made my own skirting. Which is quite hard work on a router table. I now have spindle moulder for future projects
I then finished up by making the bookcase to blend in.

Finished everything off with some danish oil and poly varnish. It has taken me about five months on and of. I can't say its absolutely perfect but I have learnt an incredible amount.

Very impressive and good use of space, every job i do i learn something or other, thats the nice thing about tackling jobs.

Nice work, the bookcase looks great. I'm also trying to build storage in an attic bedroom with a pitched ceiling, its hard trying to find a solution. I'm carcassing built in robes, check em out here

Very Interesting approach, it is always interesting to see how people design systems. I would not have thought to approach it in that way.
