From my deceased uncles woodpile we have 3 slabs, He lived in the states for a while and I think he brought them back when he returned. SOLD
I think the first 3 spalted slabs are beech and the last is oak. Dont hold me to this though because I could be wrong. The first 2 slabs are a bit thin and cupped, no idea why you would cut such a large log so thin, they would make nice boxes though following the grain and spalt around the box.
Slab 1: 22" x 56" x 13/16" Slightly spalted and cupped
Slab 2: 27" x 57" x 13/16" Slightly spalted and cupped
Slab 3: 21" x 59" x 1 1/4" lots of spalting and slightly cupped
