Hello, does anyone know where I can get a 2 morse taper shank to 1 1/4 x 8 tpi or if there is such a thing made, I want to attach a faceplate with sandpapered mdf disc to the tailstock for truing up rings on segmented bowls as I go, and also to make and attach an mdf cone for centering rings something like this http://www.segmentedturning.com/Frustum.htm
any ideas

You don't need anything that elaborate or expensive.

Just turn up a hardwood sleeve to fit over the external diameter of your tailstock quill and fit to an MDF disk, likewise a cone suitably bored out at the rear.

That metal cone looks suspiciously like the one sold as a fruit chuck. I have one just like it on a 2MT arbour. Check the Axminster catalogue / website.

Thank you both for your help, CHJ I made up a hardwood sleeve today for the quill,
and fitted a sandpapered disc and it seems as if that will work fine, great idea, I have not tried it on a bowl yet but it should be perfect it is very solid, and I will make the cone Tomorrow
Dave, I looked at Axminster site and other sites for the cone you mentioned but no luck, I want the cone to be about 12 inches diam, so it will be easier to make one with a hardwood sleeve the way CHJ mentioned.
Regards
Patrick
