16mm unthreaded chucks

Just wondering what machines these are suitable for ?
They seem to be a parallel hole with no taper and a grubscrew.

What does the back of the chuck look like? You missed the most important picture.

Ah .................. I think you'll find a Shopsmith has a 5/8" plain spindle - a grub screw is needed to engage on a tapered flat on the side.

They didn't have any other bits just a grubscrew fix. That kinda narrows things down a bit if only for the Shopsmith.....
Must say how well they are made, proper old-school quality

Thanks for this, as it happens there's a set of comprehensive instructions in the box.

Think I'll have to sell them, wonder how many Shopsmith owners there are out there?
Mind you as Phil hinted, dare say they could be threaded to suit.....
