    Which mortice chisel ?

    Xcalibur, More on my sticking arbor

    Dear all, Some of you may recall my problems with trying to remove the arbor on my new Xcalibur 10" saw - thank you for those who gave me advice.     Xcalibur arbor extension

    Arbor now removed, braced the locking spanner against a trunnion and attached car jack handle to allen key and out it came. Have now powered up the saw after scouring Chelmsford for 2.5 mm flexible cable and started setting up the saw - arbor run-out checked at just under 0.002" which seems OK...

    Bob and Steve Thanks for your replies. I could not make out whether the Allen key nut was separate from the arbor extension or part of it. In fact the instruction book (now I've looked at it properly) shows its part of the extension. I'll hopefuly be able to give it a go today Regards Jeff

    Xcalibur arbor extension

    Dear all, I've just taken delivery of an Xcalibur 10" Cabinet saw - very impressed with it. I've also ordered an arbor extension but I'm not clear how to fit the thing when it arrives. Do I unscrew the nut on the arbor which has an Allen Key fitting and do I unscrew clockwise or anti-clockwise...
