Sourcing a Locknut for Wadkin AGS 10

For future nut seekers I have just found a thread saying that the delta uni saw nut will screw down to the end end of the spindle. I don't plan on ordering one right now but they are £10 on ebay so worth a shot. Also included the OPs handle.

Sourcing a Locknut for Wadkin AGS 10

Do you have any video examples or anything. Not wanting to ask John to do this as he's already done quite alot for the price of postage. But would be keen to do myself. Not got one no but on the list to get.

    Wadkin ags 10 Lock Nut

Awh jeez. You are realy starting to make me doubt that the nut didn't fit. I couldn't get it on by hand that's all I tried but was giving my all into it. Didn't want to ruin any threads. But now I'm starting to think I didn't try enough.

    Wadkin ags 10 Lock Nut

Yeh I checked and it was straight to my plastic ruler. Never checked it with a proper rule though. John Mills (DoubleBoost on youtube) currently has it and seems pretty confident he can get a nut sorted.

Can I make all usual structures with just wood from my small woodland?

I see you've gotten alot of replies, I'm likely flogging a dead horse but I recommend allowing yourself the freedom of hand tools. Nothing too fancy such as a £300 plane or anything but basic woodworking tools can be found for ridiculously cheap these days on fbm for example. Even better if you...

Can I make all usual structures with just wood from my small woodland?

This sounds like a very interesting project! I guess you can problably survive without even a hammer or chisel. However it all depends on how much comfort you want to have, how well you want to build things and how long you want it to take. good luck, would love to see some pictures!
