    First Workshop - advice needed!

Good luck with your workshop. You mentioned that it is at a push 3.5 x 2.7m. If you were a woodturner than that would be fine. However, you stated that you were planning to make furniture. That area is far too small, especially as you intend to install equipment. You used the term "crappy" to...

Found Wanted planer thicknesser or just a jointer

I have a Scheppach HMC320 thicknesser/planer from 1998. It also has a spindle moulder attachment. The planer has a set of attached wheels which can be retracted. The bed is made out of rolled mild steel. I would say that it was/is a very decent machine.

Thanks. I had no idea that this site existed and regret not having encountered it many years ago. I will use it more when I have more time available. I have a house that I am trying to refurbish and clear out at the same time. From what I have seen of this site, I can confirm that I have...

Hi Paul, Thanks for your message. I have been fairly busy for a long time and have not genuinely utilised my equipment for a very long time. The workshop in my garden was always too small. Since it has been fully refurbished, I have decided to use it as a summer house and may upgrade it to an...

As I look at selling off the contents of my workshop, I have some of my items in storage as I complete the refurbishment of my house. I will have a variety of vintage makes at the time. For example the Scheppach brand when its products were manufactured in Germany or was it West Germany. The Elu...

Sold Drum Sander - Performax 16-32 Plus - single phase

I am a new member; and I'm uncertain as to how this site works. I have a drum sander which I purchased from new (1998) which I will be selling for £550 o.n.o. This machine was made in the USA and is on castors. The belt table paper needs to be fine tuned as it's not running true. I have enjoyed...

    New member,

Hi, I stumbled across UK Workshop by chance. I use to have a small workshop from the late nineties in a major UK city. On quitting the city, I brought my workshop with me and set up in an outbuilding in my garden; which, on reflection, was always way too small to be practical for working in...
