Hello, I’m looking for a 12mm and 8mm collet for Erbauer 1/2 inch router. This is a good cost affective machine, bought from Screwfix. Screwfix help line just reads from website, very helpful! Does anyone know who makes it or where to source them please. Thanks Rob.

Anyone using a Numatic vacuum for dust extraction

I use an old Henry on Router table and sometimes on a Milwaukee battery small Tablesaw. No problems. I just shake out wood from vacuum bag and go again. Just bought a secondhand 14 inch bandsaw so will see how it goes, not sure….

Countertop cutout fail and how to correct it?

Hello, I am cutting 50mm Douglas Fir with a lot of resin and hard notes for large windows, had a cheap jigsaw where the blade went anywhere but straight. Invested in Milwaukee Top handle the non Fuel one. Kept about 10mm from template and top guided bit to finish. My point for £100 the Erbauer...

    Mentor Wanted

Hello all, in my humble opinion utube is a huge source of knowledge, now I know that there is a awful lot of rubbish and product flogging, but pick your sources, the other sites mentioned above, some I use others Stumpy Nubs, 10 Minutes Workshop are some of the best. In Ireland I find that tool...

Stud finders - do any of them work?

I have the Magnusson three in one and find it quite useful. Have an old house with a mixture of batons carrying plaster boards and lathe plaster. With electrical wires it helps to workout if cable comes from top, bottom or side to plug or switch. It cost €50 from Screwfix. It is a helpful guide.

    Drill stand for corded drill.

Thank you, my reply was a little misleading with the router bit.

    Drill stand for corded drill.

I don’t have a half inch router, only a 1/4 trim and 1/2 inch in home made table. The MFT is mostly for assembly of large sash windows. The dogs are to keep one corner at 90 degrees when glueing up. Parf system with another router is more than I want to spend. We are not known for doing...

    Drill stand for corded drill.

Hello, I am looking at getting a drill stand, it is between Milescraft or Wolfcraft. It is the one that the drill fits into and the drills own chuck is used. Anyone use either, the money is much the same. It is to make a large MFT table, the rabbit in my head had his heart set on doing it...

    Makita 1/2 router

Hello all, I am thinking of getting the Makita 1/2 router and am very confused ( the rabbit that sits in my head operating the controls is spending a abnormally mount of time watching cartoons and sleeping), leading to failure on interweb searches. What’s the difference between rp 2301, rp2302...

    Logosol Timber Jig

I tried some six to seven year old Pine today. Cutting fresh timber with the sap still in it is much easier on the ripping chain. I have a large rounded top window to replace soon and was planning to get a lot of the curve from one wide board for one of top curves, then the same for other side...

Buying advice - multitool, random orbital sander and router

That’s what I thought too, but 5 amp fully charged won’t loosen studs but the 12 will. I don’t understand it either.

Buying advice - multitool, random orbital sander and router

Hello, first question I would ask you is what amp are your batteries. I have sold my soul to Milwaukee and have the above three all cordless. My battery start at four amp to 12 for Tablesaw, but the 12 amp ends up on the rattle gun mostly. It will loosen what the 5 amp won’t. Amp power makes a...

    Logosol Timber Jig

Hello and salutations I am about to try and to give my view on the Logosol Timber Jig. I chose this over the Alaskan mill type as the Gransberg agent is UK based, with Brexit, importing into euro zone is prohibitive expansive. The Amazon version looks a bit tinny. The Logosol seemed more simple...

    Help and Advice

Hello, with a 80 year old mother, maybe sell as Job lot, all or nothing. Otherwise the best will be picked, leaving you with a skip hire cost to clear the rest and every toe rag sizing up what else to rob on return. Sorry for my bleak outlook on mankind. What the tools cost and their worth is...

    Buying from EU

Hello, A view from the outside, we are in Ireland and buying from UK has changed a lot. Some businesses are a pleasure to deal with, Wood Workers Workshop have a very good website, the price displayed in Euro is the price paid, vat and customs built in and shipping priced at checkout. Some...
