Wood identification! Sorry.. looks like another...

Yeah, some big trees came over back then! Well I've decided that I love working with it. It might be brutal on your tools, it might blunt blades etc but, just wow. The look of it is amazing. Icthink I'm going to go Greenheart hunting. I've found a reclaimed Greenheart timber supplier in Essex...

The resaw bandsaw they used is a relic, but my goodness its terrifying!!! The band is 8 meters long...

Hi guys, a cheeky little update for you on that Greenheart! Question to answer first: Well I have a customer who lives on Shoreham beach 'the south coast boys and girls will know of this beach quite well', and they're looking at getting large block side tables made. The reason for Oak...

Yeah... its pretty conclusive with the sea defence pictures!! Awesome work... I just took them at their word. Damn... rookie error. Looks like I'll be getting my money back. I know little about greenheart, well, actually nothing at all. What would this be worth if I were buying it? I mean I know...

The hoarding I think I've got under control.. But just this Monday I bought a totally pointless mini Japanese flush cut saw because I genuinely thought I NEEDED it. I'm not doing too well with the tool buying...

Damn... I better come up with a medical reason to be here then!! Does 'totally obsessed with wood, all encompassing' count? Or is that too generic here!? 😉

Hi guys and girls, I'm not new to woodworking, almost the complete opposite. This is exactly why I can't understand what exactly I've bought! I've been searching for a specific sized Oak beam/post/oversized blank, airdried naturally preferred and then I'd stick it in the kiln to correct any...

It is a beautiful part of the country, I'm very lucky to have grown up here. I'm glad to be back rooted and working within minutes of my home. I'm glad you enjoyed the fishing around here! It's a bit dire at the moment, but I think thats the same throughout the country. Thanks for the good luck!

Good evening all! Joe from Sussex here, right on the south coast. I'll cut straight to the chase. I've been a woodworker since I was twelve years old. My father was a fairly handy craftsman so I learnt quickly from him. Between the age if 18 and 32 I was stuck in the rat race in finance...
